She walked onstage with no glitter, no flashy lights — just a piano, a quick smile, and the kind of honesty only a tired, battle-tested mother would ever dare to sing out loud. A Yorkshire mum with a choir-trained voice and jokes sharper than Simon’s suits, she turned sleepless nights, toy-covered floors, and Peppa Pig meltdowns into the kind of laughter that shakes a room. No one expected the tall, self-mocking woman to make the judges laugh until they cried — or to remind every exhausted parent watching at home that they weren’t losing their minds… they were living the same life too.

Siobhan Phillips is a musical comedienne hailing from Normanton, a town located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. Now 42 years old, she first took to the stage at just 16 and has since carved out a career in entertainment, performing on cruise ships around the world for more than ten years.

Her talents were first showcased to a national audience back in 2003, when she appeared as a finalist on Channel 4’s reality competition Operatunity.

Standing at 6 feet tall, Siobhan isn’t shy about her height — and it even sparked a memorable moment with beloved BGT hosts Ant & Dec.

In a candid interview with Express, she recalled:

“As I walked up to them, I had heels on so I was even taller — six foot! But they weren’t as tiny as people make them out to be.
I actually said, ‘Everyone calls you little, but you’re not short at all!’ They burst out laughing. That really helped ease the nerves.”

She admitted that the comment could have gone terribly wrong — but instead, it broke the ice perfectly.

Siobhan Phillips’ Family: Does She Have Children?

Family life plays a central role in Siobhan’s music. Much of her material draws inspiration from the everyday chaos and joys of motherhood.

She’s the proud mother of a young daughter, Cerys, who was just two years old when Siobhan took the BGT stage.

Speaking to The Sun, she reflected:

“Becoming a mother was life-changing for me. It hasn’t always been easy, because raising a good, kind human being is no small task.
I used to be partying in Monte Carlo or Rio, living wild. Now? My daughter comes first — always.”
