Without a doubt, the National Health Service (NHS) will have several difficulties in 2020. They have been entrusted with fighting COVID-19 and monitoring the hundreds of thousands of cases in the nation, in addition to their normal responsibilities of keeping British citizens alive and well. Numerous people have come up with original ways to thank the NHS.
When trying to keep social distance, this isn’t always easy.
But one bright young man found a way to show his neighbors how much he appreciated them.
13-year-old Cole Lam, who is incredibly talented, took to his front yard during “Clap for Carers,” a weekly event that takes place all over the UK on Thursdays at 8 p.m. He is considered a local talent in his little area, which is not surprising given the abundance of videos on the internet that showcase his extraordinary piano and keyboard skills. He may now utilize his abilities to help the paramedics and nurses in his neighborhood.
And the audience for his performance was fantastic!
Instead of just standing outside and applauding to support the NHS, armed with a piano, an amplifier, and his immense talent, he puts on a fantastic performance! British music is reflected in the selection of songs.
How about the tune? This is a short excerpt from Queen!
Cole sings “Don’t Stop Me Now,” one of Queen’s most energetic and rocking songs. It’s one of those amazing rock ballads that alternates between beautiful piano intros and outros and huge rock and roll swells. It’s impossible not to enjoy listening to it, and it’s a great example of the NHS’s resilience during this trying time.

Cole’s neighbors, I believe, are aware of his talent and seem to appreciate his brief performance.
The police even arrived!
He is not in any danger, so don’t worry! The opposite is actually true. When Cole is done, a policeman triumphantly observes, flashing his lights and blaring the siren. How fantastic!
His neighbors give him hearty applause when he’s done.
This exceptionally talented young man has used his talents to give a small tip of the hat to people who put their lives (and sanity!) at danger every day. He goes above and above to show his appreciation since he is not content to just stand outside and clap for a minute. When he is done, he stands up with pride, and his neighbors praise him.
